About the Program -

With the advent of the baby boomers nearing retirement age and the benefits of Social Security being a major portion of what this segment of the population may tend to rely on for support in the coming years, this program will address the tools that can be effectively utilized to educate our workforce on the benefits available to them.  This program’s agenda will include - 

•          Overview of Social Security Benefits

•          Overview: www.socialsecurity.gov

•          Online Retirement Planning Tools

•          Employer Services Online

 About our Presenter -

Brandon P. Smith,Public Affairs Specialist, Social Security Administration

B.A., Interpersonal and Public Communication, University of Akron, Akron, OH

 Brandon Smith, a native of Cleveland, Ohio, joined the Social Security Administration in 2003 after three years as a teacher in the Diocese of Cleveland. He started his career as a Claims Representative, specializing in Retirement, Survivors, Disability, and Health Insurance. Brandon was promoted in 2007 to the position of Public Affairs Specialist, and is the primary contact for media relations, outreach, and presentations for the agency in the Cleveland area.
